Canine Good Neighbour

Jane Bowers is a CKC Canine Good Neighbour Evaluator .

The objective of the program is to identify and reward responsible, caring owners and their canine partners throughout Canada and to ensure that one of our most favoured companions, the dog, is accepted as a valued member of our communities right across the country.

The test consists of 12 Steps which can be found here.

Passing the CGN test can be a first step in gaining certification as a therapy dog and as a Missing Animal Response trailing dog.

In some municipalities which have Breed Specific Legislation, getting the CGN certification may excuse your dog from having to wear a muzzle in public.
