Recovery of Missing Animals

Jane Bowers and her company Dogs of Distinction Canine Training Inc. provide services to reunite lost or missing pets with their families through consultations, an extensive knowledge of animal behavior, search management, cameras, traps and enclosures, and with assistance from search dogs Amber (background)  and , now in training, Annie (foreground).

Search dog Amber, a Treeing Walker Coonhound, can trail lost pets of different species.  Here is a video of her doing a practice trail for mini horse “Bea” .  The trail was made more difficult by the work of a grader on the unpaved road that lead to Bea.

Jane is a certified Missing Animal Response Technician (MAR tech)  with training through Missing Animal Recovery Network  and spent 17 years working for Customs Border Services and in joint teams with US Homeland Security and the RCMP.  She spent a further 8 years working as an Animal Control Officer and Bylaw Enforcement Officer for large and small municipalities.
